Synapse Terms of Service

Users who utilize Synapse agree to abide by the following rules:

1. Acceptance of Terms
By using or inviting Synapse (“the Bot”) to a Discord server, the user (“You,” “User”) agrees to be bound by these Terms of Service (“ToS”). If you do not agree to these ToS, do not use the Bot.

2. License to Use
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Bot on Discord servers for which you have permission. You may not resell, sublicense, copy, or modify the Bot without the owner's express written consent.

3. Bot Functionality
Synapse connects a selected channel on each server where it is installed and allows all participating servers to send and receive messages in a shared global chat.
The server user/administrator can set the connection channel.
You must have administrative permissions to properly configure the Bot on the server.

4. Prohibited Use
You may not use the Bot to:

- Upload, post, or share content that is illegal, offensive, defamatory, pornographic, racist, or otherwise violates Discord (Discord) rules or the law.

- Use the Bot in a manner that compromises the privacy or security of other users or servers.

- Spam, flood, perform unauthorized automated actions, abuse the Bot's resources, or attack.

- Use the Bot for commercial purposes (e.g., selling access to the global chat) without authorization.

5. Server Administration / Responsibilities
The server administrator is responsible for properly configuring the Bot and informing server users of the existence of the global chat and its potential implications (e.g., that messages sent will be visible globally).
The Bot owner is not liable for any damages resulting from the configuration, use, or abuse of the Bot.

6. Intellectual Property
All rights to the Bot, its code, the "Synapse" trademark, and related materials are owned by the Bot Owner. You do not acquire any ownership rights by using the Bot.

7. Modification or Termination of Service
The Bot Owner reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Bot's service or any of its features at any time, with or without notice. You agree that there will be no liability for such changes.

8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Bot Owner will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use the Bot, including but not limited to loss of data, users, or profits.

9. Termination
The Owner may terminate or suspend your access to the Bot if you violate these ToS, or for other reasons. Upon termination, you must cease using the Bot.

By accepting these terms of service, users confirm that they have read and understood the above rules and agree to abide by them.
